1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using this website, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
2. Products and Services
All products sold through 31 North are authentic, handcrafted silk embroidery pieces created by certified master artisans. Each piece is unique and may vary slightly from photographs due to the nature of handmade craftsmanship. We strive to accurately represent our products, but colors may appear differently on various screens.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. Payment must be received in full before orders are processed.
We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. All transactions are processed securely through our payment partners.
4. Shipping and Delivery
We ship worldwide. Delivery times vary depending on destination and shipping method selected. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery to the carrier.
5. Returns and Refunds
We offer a 14-day return window for non-customized, ready-to-ship items in original, pristine condition. A 10% restocking fee applies to cover artisan inspection costs.
Custom and commissioned pieces are Final Sale and are not eligible for return or exchange due to their bespoke nature. We provide detailed photographic and video documentation during creation to ensure your satisfaction prior to shipment.

6. Custom Orders, Deposits, and Cancellations
Commissioned silk embroidery pieces require a production period of approximately 3-6 months depending on complexity. The following terms apply:
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to commence production. This deposit covers artisan labor, premium silk materials, and design preparation.
- Balance Payment: The remaining 50% is due upon completion, before shipment. We will provide photographs and video of the finished piece for your approval.
- Cancellation Before Production: If you cancel within 48 hours of placing your order and before production has begun, we will refund your deposit minus a 10% administrative fee.
- Cancellation During Production: Once production has commenced, the 50% deposit is non-refundable as artisan work and materials have been allocated to your piece.
- Cancellation After Completion: If you cancel after the piece is completed, the full order amount is due. Completed commissioned works cannot be resold due to their bespoke nature.
We understand that circumstances may change. If you need to modify your order during production, please contact us as soon as possible. Minor modifications may be accommodated depending on the stage of completion.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of 31 North or our artisan partners and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 31 North shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product in question.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
